Happy Fall! On Saturday, October 17th from 2-4 PM, Alcove Cinema is excited to host our very first children’s cinema screening for young filmmakers and their families! We are looking for submissions of short films made by children of all ages up to the 8th grade. All genres and formats of filmmaking are welcome! Please submit your films to alcovecinema@gmail.com along with the first name of the filmmaker. Located at the Brooklyn Peace Center, this free family screening event will feature the work of our young filmmakers and special readings led by film educators and teaching artists. And don’t miss the hands-on stop animation workshop hosted by our friends at Magician Studio! All ages are welcome to attend and enjoy a fun-filled day of community and film by our youngest artists. The link to register is here. Please share this call for kids films to anyone who may be interested! Our digital animation and digital and print flyers are linked here for use in your community and social platforms. We can’t wait to see you at the show! Free admission.
