Domo Branch Quintet

Dominick “Domo” Branch is a bi-coastal drummer, composer, and educator from Portland, Oregon. Along with leading his own band, Branchin’ Out, he is also the co-leader of the Brown Branch Jazz Orchestra with pianist/keyboardist Charlie Brown III and the co-owner of the Sound Poets Productions with his partner Matt Malanowski. Since finishing his degree at New York’s Manhattan School of Music, Branch has established himself as one of the up and coming faces in the international music scene, performing and touring with artists such as Sean Jones, Stefon Harris, Ron Artis II, Dianne Reeves, Mike Phillips, Terance Blanchard, Taylor Eigsti, Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. He has played at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin, the Monterey Jazz Festival, Marciac Jazz Festival, Caramoor Jazz Festival, Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Jazz Standard. Branch aims to use his musical journey as a vehicle of inspiration for young people, and has given motivational speeches at various universities, high schools and music festivals.
