Join us for the IPPF Finals Weekend, the culmination of a six-month high school written and oral debate tournament between 331 teams from 39 countries. This year’s topic: Resolved: The Group of 20 Nations should levy a global education tax equal to 1% of each member country’s gross domestic product to establish a dedicated international organization that supports the provision of universal, free, quality primary and secondary education. On Friday, April 17 (4 – 6pm) we will host an educational symposium, Educating the World: Obligation, Opportunity, or Overreach? at New York University’s King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Florencia Lopez-Boo. Uniting policy experts, this discussion will address the same topic argued by the students. On Saturday, April 18 (8 am – 5pm) we will host the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final debates in culmination of the 2025-26 IPPF at the NYU School of Law. Watch the final eight teams compete in oral debates for the $10,000 grand prize and the Brewer Cup. Free admission.
