National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week Program Elmhurst

The last week of October is National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week and October 29th is National Stroke Day, a time dedicated to bringing together healthcare officials, educators, families, communities, and government agencies to raise awareness about lead poisoning and strokes, reduce lead exposure and stroke triggers, and stop its harmful health effects. Lead poisoning is a critical and ongoing public health issue across New York, with children, seniors, families, and new immigrants in low-income and minority communities facing the highest risk of exposure. Join us in raising awareness about lead poisoning, reducing lead exposure, and stopping its harmful health effects. The event is free and open to the public.
