Over the Bridge 5K & 10K Run/Walk

In Honor of J. Ronald Scott The “Over The Bridge” 5K & 10K is the event for Participants/Sponsors who want to support Guide Dogs For The Blind & Assistance Dogs for Returning Veterans. September 19, 2026 9AM Start 8:30AM Registration Closes Rain or Shine Hampton Bays, NY AMENITIES Refreshments, Awards & A Challenging Over the Bridge Water View 5K & 10K Course Tees for the first 200 Participants AWARDS Top 1 M/F Overall for the 5K & 10K Top 3 M/F 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ IMPORTANT INFO No Roller Blades, Headphones, and Animals are prohibited from participating in this race. All participants under twelve (12) years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The Hampton Bays Lions Club is a community service organization supporting charitable works in Hampton Bays and East Quogue since 1948. Last year thru this event the Lions Club sponsored six Seeing Eye dogs for those in our community in need. Three of the dogs are designated for returning wounded Veterans and three for persons with blindness living in our area. We financially contribute to The Smithtown Guide Dog Foundation and Canine Companions for Returning Veterans, scholarships for deserving students in the Hampton Bays and Westhampton districts, local churches, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League, Maureen’s Haven, and the St. Rosalie’s food pantry to name a few.
