This artist does not have a bio yet. William Hill III is a pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader from Detroit, Michigan. A graduate of the Detroit School of Arts, he is currently pursuing his baccalaureate at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Hill has participated in esteemed jazz programs such as Jazz House Kids, Jr. Jazz Academy at Lincoln Center, Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead, and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Keeping an Eye Summer Jazz Workshop. He has earned accolades from the National YoungArts Foundation, NAACP ACT-SO National Competition, and the West Virginia University International Jazz Piano Competition. He has worked with and been mentored by renowned artists, including Marc Cary, Joe Farnsworth, Jazzmeia Horn, Christian McBride, Wynton Marsalis, Jason Moran, and many others. His performances span major venues such as the Detroit Jazz Festival, Dizzy’s Club, Smalls Jazz Club, Minton's Playhouse, the Kennedy Center, and Blue Note Tokyo. Hill recently released his sophomore album, “Keep it Movin'” in summer of 2025. Through his music, Hill strives to spread joy and inspire audiences worldwide. Barry Stephenson has performed with a who’s-who of internationally-recognized jazz, blues, and soul musicians, including Jon Batiste, Nicholas Payton, David Sanborn, Seal, the late Freddie Cole, Diane Schuur, Marc Cary, Jamison Ross, Sullivan Fortner, Jazzmeia Horn, Herlin Riley, the late Henry Butler, Mark Whitfield, Tim Warfield, Russell Gunn, Christian Sands, Cyrille Aimee, Etienne Charles, Marcus Printup, Davell Crawford, Rodney Green, and Theo Croker. He was awarded the ASCAP Foundation’s Louis Armstrong Award in 2011 and the Ernest O. and Shirley N. Svenson Jazz Composition Award in 2012. Native New Yorker Charles Goold, is one of the city's hardest working jazz drummers of his generation. Son of Ned Goold, legendary saxophonist whose credits include Harry Connick Jr, Jack McDuff, Vernell Fournier and many others, Charles was able to hear, live and embody jazz from the day he was born. Charles has also performed with a variety of musicians since playing professionally at the age of 14. Under the tutelage of his father, Charles was able to get "real" jazz education from an early age, playing weekly at Smalls with his father and going to see and study legendary bebop drummers such as Leroy Williams, Jimmy Lovelace, Jimmy Wormworth and Billy Kaye, not to mention Goold's first gig was playing at Arturo's with great pianist Harry Whitaker. Goold recently graduated from the Juilliard School all while continuing to perform in New York City. With this precious knowledge and experience handed down from his elders and pursuance of formal education, Goold has been able to perform with of the best in the jazz industry and wide variety of acts from classic stalwarts like John Hendricks, The Cab Calloway Orchestra and Andy Bey to more contemporary acts like Johnny O'Neal, Steve Nelson and a concert with Tony Bennet, Ne-Yo, Savion Glover and Brandon Flowers of the Killers at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, collaborations with rap legends Talib Kweli and Ghostface Killah along with performing on the Off-Broadway Musical "Old Hats."
