Giuliana Bruno is Professor of Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University. She is internationally known for her research on intersections of the visual arts, architecture, and film. Bruno has published nine award-winning books and two hundred essays, translated in over fifteen languages. Her influential books include Streetwalking on a Ruined Map: Cultural Theory and the City Films of Elvira Notari (Princeton University Press), winner of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies book award. She has contributed to major contemporary publications on artist films from the Guggenheim, Whitney, and MoMA. Her latest books are Isaac Julien. Lina Bo Bardi—A Marvellous Entanglement (Yale University Press), and Atmospheres of Projection: Environmentality in Art and Screen Media (The University of Chicago Press).
