Originally from Rome, Valerio Ciriaci moved to New York in 2011, where he co-founded Awen Films. His filmography includes IF ONLY I WERE THAT WARRIOR (Globo d’Oro, 2016); STONEBREAKERS (Honorable Mention and ‘Imperdibili’ prize at Festival dei Popoli) and ELVIRA NOTARI: BEYOND SILENCE, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival. Giuliana Bruno is Professor of Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University. She is internationally known for her research on intersections of the visual arts, architecture, and film. Bruno has published nine award-winning books and two hundred essays, translated in over fifteen languages. Her influential books include Streetwalking on a Ruined Map: Cultural Theory and the City Films of Elvira Notari (Princeton University Press), winner of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies book award. She has contributed to major contemporary publications on artist films from the Guggenheim, Whitney, and MoMA. Her latest books are Isaac Julien. Lina Bo Bardi—A Marvellous Entanglement (Yale University Press), and Atmospheres of Projection: Environmentality in Art and Screen Media (The University of Chicago Press). Antonella Di Nocera is a producer, curator, and cultural activist based in Naples. Since 2002, she has headed Parallelo 41, a production company focused on documentaries with more than 40 titles screened at major festivals including the Venice Biennale, Locarno, Rotterdam, and Thessaloniki. Her films have earned numerous accolades, including two Nastri d’Argento, two David di Donatello nominations, and recognitions at Cinéma du Réel, Torino, Locarno, Sarajevo, DOK Leipzig, and more. In 2020, she was named a European Emerging Producer, and in 2022 she was awarded the title of Chevalier of Arts and Letters by the French Republic. She is the president of the Elvira Notari national committee, overseeing ongoing international programs dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the director's birth.
